Lucia Lighting & Design

I just completed a lengthy remodel. I selected Lucia Lighting because I favor local shopkeepers and have used them before. I worked with a lighting specialist who guided me carefully and thoughtfully through the process. Patty S. is a real asset to the business Most recently the final piece of lighting was hung by my electrician, he flubbed it. I called Lucia, it was my consultant's day off but Lynda sprang into action!

Before I knew it Lucy ( owner) and a lighting technician drove to my home to correctly hung the piece! YOU CANT BUY THAT KIND OF SERVICE. IT COMES FROM THE HEART! I would recommend this lighting store to anyone, their selection is fantastic and their staff and owner are spectacular

I had a wonderful experience with Lucia lighting! I purchased some beautiful pendants as well as a chandelier. There was an irregularity with one of my pendants; Patty immediately ordered a replacement. Their customer service is outstanding!

Licia is wonderful in every way. The selection is impressive without being overwhelming and the staff (especially Lucy) is knowledgeable, friendly, and not pushy. They ask the right questions because they truly want clients to find the right fit. I was so impressed with the variety and quality of the light fixtures here, and prices are fair. Just walking around is a great experience because it's so beautiful inside.

Truth be told, I actually purchased furniture here and not light fixtures, but my parents have had success planning a new house project with Licia and i was so impressed with how they've worked with them. Highly recommend!

I can't begin to describe this store. It's magical. I'm in the design industry, and the lighting selections are stunning, Lucy and her staff couldn't be more friendly and knowledgeable. we were so happy to have finally gotten a chance to visit and we ended up buy 3 new light fixtures and a framed picture. We've already started selection of other fixtures that we want for other spaces in our home.

I'll never consider buying lights at a big box store again. This place great. Excellent customer service and huge selection products.

I have been a customer for several years and very happy. However, several months ago I purchased a pendant light and have had some problems with it. I attempted to call the owner and left messages but never heard back. I guess they don't do customer service. I won't be back!

My only regret with this store is that I didn't find it sooner. I am building a house for the first time and was completely overwhelmed with how much lighting I needed and the online options. Walking into this beautiful showroom was like a breath of fresh air. To be able to physically see the lighting in 3D as opposed to the 2D online made me so happy. Lucy walked me through the entire showroom and noted my style and what I was looking for.

I then received a design book within a few days so I could make my options. They ended up selling me a floor model for a chandelier that I loved that was no longer being made. I then also purchased a dining room chandelier that they found online for me that is gorgeous and the island pendants. They arrived in a timely manner and they held them until my house was ready for install.

I am anxious to have them installed and then I will post a picture. I would highly recommend checking out Lucia though for any lighting needs you have. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and welcoming.

This store is amazing! After being overwhelmed for weeks searching for lighting online, walking into their beautiful showroom was like a breath of fresh air. Lucy took the time to walk through the entire showroom with me as I was looking to light an entire new home and needed all new fixtures. She created a design book for me afterward with choices and prices so I could decide on what I wanted.

What was really amazing though is that I ended up purchasing only one chandelier that was the floor model since they were all discontinued. The other purchases I made were ones that they found online that they knew would be exactly what I wanted. I would have been afraid to pull the trigger myself for the online purchases, but having someone as knowledgeable as Lucy to guide me in knowing that I was getting a good quality product that will fit my design perfectly made it so less scary. I can't recommend this store enough. They were the best!

The store is beautiful with a great selection. I spent a lot of money. Unfortunately there was a problem with one fixture and I tried to contact them several times to find a replacement part that I was willing to pay for. I came to the store and she was apologetic and very nice to my face and promised to take care of it. Then she blew me off and stopped responding. I am stuck with lighting that worked for less than six months and will be complicated to fix on my own. Really disappointing.

Lucia's Lighting is such a beautiful store with an amazing selection of lighting options. Renee created a lighting plan for my renovation that was so helpful -- in fact I wouldn't have been able to do that part of the project without her patient expertise. I highly recommend Lucia's and Renee if you want lighting that is the right scale, brightness, and style for your home the first time and every time.

Wonderful lighting store with a HUGE selection of everything from lamps, to sconces, and chandeliers. We came in for sconces to install over our fireplace & came across some fantastic Hubbardton Forge sconces. They are hand made in Vermont and are perfect. We didn't expect to buy anything else here, but were mesmerized by a petit chandelier, which fits perfectly above our dining table in our Beacon Hill condo. I highly recommend this place! (Yes, strangely it is in an old funeral home, which is so obvious when you pull up.but once you get over that.it's a sight to see)!

I would give them 0 stars if possible. I visited earlier today. The first salesperson sent me upstairs alone(!) to look around. She never joined me. Then I went downstairs to talk to the people about some of the items I had seen, and to ask about other selections. They threw a few catalogs at me, and pulled out a sample of some lights they were pushing.

When I expressed disinterest the first salesperson asked if she could help with another customer "for a second". 20 minutes later another salesperson showed up. She took the numbers from some of the catalog items I had found, and said she would send me info by email. I went to the restroom, and she said she would be sending the email with quotes and websites "after lunch". It is now 6PM and still no email!

I can't say enough about this store. The services, product and attention to detail are all taken care of here. We have worked with Lucy for 15 years on three different houses. This newest house is our dream home. We gave her our plans and she created an electrical plan for our electrician and took us through every detail- knowing our needs and our budget.

My husband and I agree the best thing we did with our house design was working with Lucy -stress free, time saving and a FUN experience. Every item she picked out was perfect for our taste and the design/scale of house.

I hadn't been to Lucia Lighting in nearly seven years, but when I walked in the door Lucy immediately recognized my face. My husband was stuck outside walking our dog and she invited both of them in and gave our dog water. She directed us to a saleswoman named Patty who was extremely knowledgeable, patient and hard working. We spent an hour going back and forth on different lights and didn't even purchase anything before we left, but they could not have been kinder.

Though we live in Newton and have many lighting stores to choose from, including on-line, there is nothing better than great customer service to endear you to a particular store. Lucy and her team are our favorite and I hope to purchase several lights from her once we narrow our choices. Highly, highly recommend!

They excel in their education and walking you through all options and what is the best fit for YOUR home You cant get that with online box stores. Their selection is wonderful and top notch! This is the ONLY lighting store you should consider! Don't waste any time and go to Lucia Lighting for ALL your lighting needs :

Amazing place. It is beautiful inside, selection is wonderful, but even better. AMAZING customer service. The person I worked with really worked hard to find a solution to my lighting issue. They truly went out of the way to ensure that I was a satisfied customer. Thank you to everyone over there. The lights worked out well, and look great.

Lucia is a fantastic place, where the people are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, and they always know what you're talking about, even when you don't! It is such a great treat to have such a great local store so close! You don't want to miss this one!

I love Lucia! The building is an old funeral home, and when you walk in, it's like a museum of art and lighting! The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and Lucy (the owner of Lucia) is really an upbeat individual. We came in looking for a new chandelier for the dining room and this was the most fun I have ever had looking for something for the home.

This was an all around special experience. Lucy had us work w/Shiloh, who was fun, engaging, asked the right questions, and worked with our needs. We pulled up pictures of our wallpaper and the paint colors for the dining room on the computer, and we gave Shiloh as many measurements as possible and from there we found our chandelier! We went through all of the rooms, and there were at least a hundred (maybe two!) different styles of lights in each of the rooms, and she could answer questions about all of them.

Sure that's what she's there for, but she did it in such a way that she was confidant in her answers and really understood how each of the lights would work in a room. That's what we needed and she delivered. She made chandelier shopping so easy! I can't wait to go back when we start planning another room.

I was here today to tape an episode of TV Diner dealing with cocktails and let me tell you this place is gorgeous! The staff is some of the warmest and most welcoming people I have come across. All of the products were very high quality and reasonably priced. They have a working kitchen and a full bar- and will be filming a bunch of segments on TV Diner for the next few months- I had never heard of the place but definately intend to come back after we find a house!
