Went in to purchase chandeliers and lighting for a total rehab project I'm working on the owner was on the phone so I asked other people standing around if they could help they all said the owner was the only person who could help. So I waited patiently until he got off the phone for his assistance he got off the phone looked at me and told me he was busy so the other workers tried to convince me to stay as I proceeded to leave he waved his hand in a shooing motion and said "who cares" well you should sir. I would not refer not one person to go there for this type of customer service.

I went in, wanted to know if they fixed light fixtures, 5 men stood around and said nothing until 1 threw another at me saying "help this lady, " and disappeared. It took him forever just to send someone after he disappeared in the back. I hate these people, and planned to spend a lot of money bc I'm remodeling. But I will never go back.

I needed a breaker. On their website, it was listed for $29.00. The guy behind the counter told me it was $35.00 for a new one, and $17.00 for a used one. I showed him the price on the website and he said he would honor the price. He ended up selling me a used one for the price listed on the site ($29.00). Bottom line, stay away if you don't want to get charged the price of a new one, but get a used one!

Been there twice in a matter of days and both times got just what we needed. The only thing that could come close to a negative is that it's busy, with lots of contractors so you may need to wait a bit. First time there, we asked for an answer to the dilemma we've had for a long time, with recessed can light fixtures. They're on a steep sloped ceiling and very high.
We wanted to switch them to LED bulbs and replace the trim kits with ones that would cover the poor fit the original installer left (you could see the gap between can and drywall from 20 ft below). We've looked at eyeball trim kits and everything else, but no one could give us advice that would make them fit the steep slope. They sent someone back to bring a can fixture out, take it apart and answer the question!
We bought 14 of them and they are the perfect answer. I saw a ceiling medallion there that day, loved it and went back and got that today. They're just so nice, no attitude like a lot of specialty places that supply the trades. They don't care who you are, they just want to solve your problems.

We bought a transformer with four LED puck lights from Murray in October 2010. Over Christmas 2011 the transformer blew. We finally took it back today. Of course the warranty was gone. We were able to get another transformer, but first they opened up the transformer to see if it could be easily fixed by changing the fuse. Unfortunately that did not fix it.
Though the price had gone up on the transformers, they sold me the new one at the same price. I was very happy with the service. Also, they do have a nice little selection of attractive lamps and glass pendants.

I'm a sucker for a beautiful chandelier or a funky lighting fixture. Murray Lighting has been around forever and they have a huge store that accommodates plenty of choices for all things lighting. If you're in the market for a chandelier I suggest you stop here prior to any chain store. They have very unique pieces. Sure some of them you can find other places but the ones that are unique can only be found here.
Price range varies and keep in mind that chandeliers aren't cheap. So be prepared with a budget that is realistic. Murray carries everything from fluorescent fixtures to emergency exit lighting. They also provide electrical supply for the handy man in or business owner. This store also has a great staff. Unlike the super home stores you visit this store offers a personal touch. Question? No problem. It won't take you 10 minutes to find someone to ask. For all things lighting I suggest you stop by!
