This company has such a beautiful showroom in Lake Oswego. If I were a rich man I would buy one of each; Alas, since I am neither a man nor rich, I will have to settle with the most amazing and beautiful chandelier that was in my budget! I bought the one in this attached photo and it is glorious! The lead time from order to receipt was short and the person I picked it up from was really great. Thanks for a fantastic experience.

I'm thinking the people who had poor experiences must have walked into an alternative universe Accent Lighting because I had exactly the opposite experience. I had looked at all the usual places and knew I wasn't going to find what I wanted. I walked into Accent and said to my sister, "now THIS is a lighting store". So many choices, so many styles and some very unique designs. Shella Lake came to help immediately and paid close attention to what I was trying to achieve.
I showed her pictures of my craftsman-style home because I didn't want to deviate too much. She had many suggestions, and all the while she was working with me she was also paying attention to my sister, who continued to wander around the showroom. I found exactly what I wanted, Shella helped me with size and colors. Then she gave me the catalog for the company that both my sister and I seemed to gravitate towards. Turns out it is Vermont-based and sources all parts of its products from the US. I am one happy camper and eager to continue making modifications to my home using Accent Lighting! Can't recommend them more highly.

Honestly it's difficult to find a "non - run of the mill" lighting shop in Portland. but if you go to Lake Oswego you will find Shella at Accent Lighting. My electrician recommended her saying she was a top lighting designer in Portland. This lady knows more about light, shadows, and fixtures then I ever hope to, but she's just the type of person you want helping you pick out your lighting plan. I did a whole house remodel and Shella was amazing! Accent lighting had many contemporary fixtures I hadn't seen anywhere else and of a very high quality.

Horrible experience with this company! While they may have a beautiful showroom, they did not honor the price advertised in the showroom and indicated that the floor model could be offered at that price but not any new fixtures of the same style since their computer systems didn't get updated. My mistake for ordering several of the same fixture nevertheless because I was emotionally invested in these fixtures and tired of looking.
Then when my electrician opened the brand new packaged box at home one of the hurricane glasses was broken. When I brought this to their attention, their first response was wanting to know why it had taken me so long to get installed. They would not replace the glass nor even try to compromise a solution other than wanting to charge me another $160 to replace the glass.
I then called North Coast Lighting by Home Depot and gave them a picture of the fixture and the item numbers I had from this store and they were able to replace the glass for $120.00. I asked what they would of charged for the whole fixture and it would of been a $75.00 savings for each fixture. Only use Accent Lighting for their showroom, take your idea pictures/skew numbers then give your business to North Coast Lighting.

We worked with John Pavek at Accent Lighting in June 2017 for WAC brand LED tape lighting (rope lighting) for 3 areas with ceiling vaults. Total cost for the light and accessories was over $3000. An electrician installed the lighting, drivers and dimmers sold to us by Accent. The lighting in two areas worked fine, the third had a flicker at the bottom dimmer setting.
The electricians came back to diagnose and fix the issue at a cost of $472. The electrician stated "The issue falls back to lighting design from Accent lighting." Both the electrician and us contacted John and got passed to Shella Lake to try and resolve the issue. After months, they and WAC lighting recommended the drivers be replaced, at OUR expense again, which the electricians said would not solve the problem.
After months of trying to resolve the problem and get reimbursed for our extra expense for their design issues we are left out $472 and it still doesn't work correctly. If you have a problem with the design Accent does for you, they will not respond or make the error right. Very frustrating and disappointing.

Good selection, but both times we've made a purchase the service has been horrendous. Poor notification process both times, I had to call the store myself after product had been their for weeks. Then when I said thank you, they said 'yeah.' Really? We get a price for a chandelier and found the exact same product online for $700 less w free shipping, lesson learned, second time is definitely 'shame on me.'

It's a shame that some did not have a good experience with this store, but our experience was flawless from start to finish. Shella worked with us to help us choose a bathroom vanity and a dining room surface mount fixture. Told her what we were looking for and what challenges we had, and she toured us around the store finding us options that would work.
She also got online with her supplier websites and showed us some options not in the store. We were told our special order lighting would take three weeks to arrive, it came in two and we got a call the same day letting us know our order was ready to be picked up.

I would not recommend Accent Lighting. My experience was as follows: 1. Went in there on 9/13/14. Explain remodeling kitchen looking for a light. Ted told us to go home and measure and take pictures of our kitchen and he would help us. 2. Brought in pictures, measurements, and placed order based on Ted as a professional. 3. A month went by never heard from Ted, went to the store could not find my order.
Finally after showing my receipt, Ted found my order under a different name. Advise me order would be in about a week, would call. 3. Couple weeks went by called Ted advise me order in and could come and pick up. He advised me he was to busy to call. 4. Went and picked up order, after waiting for about 20 minutes. A another customer sitting there had gone through the same experience I had went through with her order. Advised me she would not go back. 5.
When go home, the lights were way too small and did not match my kitchen. Remember we had given this all to Ted base on him as the expert. 6. Brought back the lights to the store Ted waited on me. Said wasn't sure I could get a credit back but for sure could get in store credit. He would check with owner and call me. 7. While waiting for Ted to call back, my interior decorator went on line to look at their lights.
She found one and went into the store to see if they had one in stock. The lady that helped her was snooty and said did not have in stock and could order. My interior decorator explained the situation and the lady said store policy. 8. I went back to the store the following week as Ted did not call me back. Asked about the in store credit vs getting my money back.
He said I could have money back however I would be charged a restocking fee plus postal charge to mail the order back to the manufacture as they would not keep the order. I paid $910.50 after restock fee and postage I got back $455.50. 9. I then asked to speak to the manager/owner he was not available. I was advised he would contact me the following week.
I never heard from him. 10. I don't know how this place stays open for business. As I have now talked to 4 people now who have had bad experience with this company and will not do business with them again.

I'm not one to write any sort of reviews but, when it comes to great customer service then I feel I must share. From the moment my wife and I walked in we felt special. I'm not much for mushy stuff just like to get great service, and Accent Lighting is top on my list. If your looking for mid to upper scale lighting this should be your one and only stop. Jay
