Riyad is the best regarding advice to help the consumer and he is professional and detail oriented in every aspect of the work--from estimating through installation. The solar light tunnels make the difference between night and day. My master bedroom and dining room we're dark and gloomy and now both rooms are bright and cheerful. I absolutely recommend!

Natural light from Solatube makes me happy especially sitting in the office all day even if I sometimes forgot to leave my seat to go outside to say "hello" to the sun. I will still have my natural daily dose of vitamin D enough to function well.

With a recent huge storm, we discovered a leak in our skylights. We called around and Anthony was extremely prompt, setting up a time a day later to come and give an estimate. He was very timely, took a look, and gave us a quote for new skylights, which was very reasonable. He took pictures to show us the cracks in our skylights saying they had been patched multiple times previously and were well past their shelf life.

We appreciated this as we didn't feel like we were being taken advantage of. Once we decided to work with Anthony, we put in our order for new skylights (which we were told could take up to 6 weeks to order). To our delight, Anthony was able to locate our skylights in stock a few days later and scheduled the work for the next day. He was able to replace our old skylights quickly and even talked us through what he saw on our roof.

As a bonus, he cleared out some leaves and dirt that were blocking our drain for no additional charge. Anthony is super friendly, timely, and responsive - we'd highly recommend giving him a call.

This was the only retailer that had a 10 inch angled solar tube kit and an additional elbow I was looking for in all of the bay area and online. So 4 stars for the carrying specific items and the person there was very knowledgeable and helpful. However, I left out that last star for the accessories pricing being too high.

Maybe if you want to install new solar tubes, then this is a good business to work with. But we wanted a different service they offer: installing a new skylight. We can't recommend them for that - as it seems they didn't want our business I made an appointment on the phone with Anthony, the owner. Told him we wanted a new installation of a skylight.

He says he'd come give an estimate the next day. He didn't show or call the next day, so an hour after our scheduled appt time, I called the office. The woman answering the call was nice and apologetic and arranged an alternate time. Anthony shows up, doesn't acknowledge missing the previous appointment, hardly makes eye contact, and doesn't offer to remove shoes or wear booties, etc.

We take him upstairs to show him the bathroom where we'd like a skylight. He talks about how well solar tubes work, but I make it clear that I'd like a skylight because of the ventilation it will provide in a bathroom. He walks around our upstairs area and looks in our daughters" rooms. I'm not sure why. Maybe to see if there are places where we could use a solar tube?

But it seemed odd he was looking into rooms we weren't asking him about. We go outside to look at the roof line, and he confirms the work can be done. He says he'll have an estimate to us within 3 days. As he leaves, he turns his head back and says something about having missed our previous appointment. I couldn't hear him, because he was walking away from us, but I'd like to think it was an apology.

After he leaves, my husband says, "he seems really unenthusiastic about taking this job." And we never heard from Anthony or anyone at his company again. We never got a quote or any kind of follow up. I think my husband was right: this company had no interest in installing a single new skylight. Maybe if you want solar tubes (which are a more efficient installation process), then this is a great company.

It strikes me that they can churn through a couple of solar tube installations a day, and that's how they make money as a business. And it does seem that most of their reviews (and they mostly have positive reviews) are for solar tube installations. But I can't recommend them for new skylight installations, based on their perceived indifference about missing an appointment, not a lot of courtesy while in our home, lack of enthusiasm about the job - and no follow-up or estimate sent.

Had this company install a Solatube almost 10 years ago, and still love the product. They did a wonderful job at the time, very professional, the whole thing took a couple hours. Very fair rates.

We had three Solatubes installed, each with a light fixture inside. Two are in a dark hallway and one is in a laundry room. We LOVE them. They have made a huge difference and it's nice to have natural light in these windowless areas during the day. We have had them for several months without any issues. Installer was very professional and left no mess behind.

A person come to our house for the quote and then we went to the showroom to see different options to make sure we knew what we wanted - they have several options actually in use at their showroom space so it was very helpful. The two people we dealt with were knowledgeable, friendly and gave us no pressure

Loved how quickly they walked me through the different options for a sun tunnel for a guest bath and sent me a quote for it. After picking up the 160DS solatube, Eva C. at the showroom was very generous to replace an attachment clamp for me that was either missing or misplaced by my contractor. Would definitely recommend Solar Lighting Express for their service and quality.

Anthony was efficient and responsive in getting us a quote and our home scheduled for 3 solar tubes. Riyad the installer was quick and generally did a good job. However, when we were up in the attic recently for another project, we noticed he left wood trimmings from the holes and insulation around the tubes detached. He didn't clean up his work so we had to clean up the small mess he left. Not a huge deal but definitely was not perfect.

Anthony is great and super responsive. Called, had the consultation, and the install all done in under two weeks. Highly recommended!

Our house is old and has gone through multiple construction periods, making the installation challenging, but Riyad was very experienced and was able to adapt and complete the installation in 4 hours.

We are in process of home remodeling. our bathroom and hallways are very dark - we knew a skylight would really help but we nixed them due to the costs. I called Anthony in for a quote out of curiosity, he was prompt and very informative but we still felt the tubes were not in the budget. I went into the showroom one day and was pretty impressed, so I decided to take a gamble and get them installed.

They were installed the very next Monday - the installer was super courteous, he called to keep us informed as to his progress, he was neat and the job was precise, he was absolutely a joy to work with. Well, I CANNOT express how happy we are with the finished product- The bath is flooded with sunlight all day, the difference is STUNNING! Hallway not quite as good due to the second story but still remarkable! I CANNOT EXPRESS HOW WORTH THE EXPENSE IT WAS! (we choose square as the round looked like portholes to us LOL) if you're thinking about it, think no more - worth every cent!

Anthony is extremely professional and prompt, as well as very friendly. The solar tubes add beautiful natural light to our home. Definitely recommend them. Riyad did a very neat and quick installation as well.

We installed a solar tube solar power attic fan and it works perfect for this extreme hot weather. The installer was quick and knowledgeable. We'll definitely do business with this company again for any future products.

Riyad installed a 10 solar tube with a bathroom vent in my 1950s house, and I couldn't be more pleased with the 2.5 hour installation and final product. The bathroom is a bright, sunny place now, and the vent is up to modern standards. I thought the pricing was very fair. Thanks!

Wow! Not only was the installation a bit tricky due to a high and slanted roof, the install was completed in about 3 hours. Rayid the installer was super professional as well. I definitely recommend them.

I've purchased a solar fan to ventilate the office from the roof when temperature is too high. unfortunately it has been working totally randomly, so it ventilates when it is cold outside (so making it colder inside) and doesn't work when it is hot inside. the company owner came back to try to fix it (after we called him at least 10 times). and now it is even worse. not only i've lost money but on top of that it makes things worse than before.

All my positive comments are covered in the many other stellar reviews. Solar lighting and Riyad were great and love my 2 solar tubes. Was surprised at how great they are. Wish I needed more. Was even surprised by the 'night light' imbedded in the tubes.

We just had a solar powered attic fan installed as well as a whole house fan. I love it! We should have had this work done a long time ago. We love our WHF. It's great for getting fresh air into the house. It quickly removing cooking odors and cooling of the house. Couldn't be happier with SLE product or service. Very professional. Recommend them to everyone!

Solatube is the best thing since slice bread were invented.okay maybe 2nd best. My house is in Millbrae and we installed one in my bathroom and one in the hallway. After the installation, both room are so bright, it looks like the light is always on. The best part is those are actually sunlight which is free and a lot more comfortable than the a light bulb. Anthony gave me a good deal for installing two and the installer did his best to help me find the best spot to have them install. Love Solatube and thanks Solar Lighting Express, great job!

We have a single story house. The hallway was generally dark even in the day and the kitchen was dark too because there is only one window there. Right after I heard about these SolaTube things from a friend and talked to the rep, we decided to install one tube in the hallway and another one in the kitchen. Wow, what a differences we experienced! My hallway is bright and my kitchen looks awesome. We can see what is on dinner table now without turning on a light. Wonderful products. Highly recommended.

I've recently just purchased my 1st solar tube. The lighting is so amazing and I highly recommend Solar Lighting Express for their professionalism, knowledge and expertise. Their customer service is top notch and can't be substituted anywhere else, the staff are highly knowledgeable and will inform you on the pros and cons of solar lighting to see if it's right for you. You can't go wrong, I will definitely do business with them again.

We had a Solatube installed in our home in SF. The amount of light that came in was amazing. I had my doubt on it since I always thought traditional square skylight will work best. And I had friend telling me tubular skylight give out yellow looking light. I am glad that I gave this particular brand a try. If you want to choose tubular skylight, you must choose the right brand like Solatube.

What a difference the sun-tubes makes in our home! Great service from Anthony in that we had a link during the rain and Anthony figured it out! It was not the Sun tube but a linking air-vent pipe next to it. Got that fixed with my plumber and no more worries. He went the extra mile to keep us happy, thank you Anthony!

Can't believe how much I love my home since my three solar tubes were put in. I've used this company twice now and they are excellent when it comes to the details of where and how many solar tubes to use. My house is so much more comfortable and the solar night light feature is a wonderful addition also. The owner Anthony is very knowledgeable although sometimes a little hard to understand I would recommend him to anyone looking to upgrade the beauty, comfort and value to their home!

You cannot buy what they offer at Home Depot or Lowe's don't even try it! Spend the money and get it done right with the pros if you care about the value of your home for resale!

Wonderful product! Had 1 installed on our hallway and 1 installed in our laundry room. We are amazed how much natural light it brings in. But the tubes themselves are only half the story. Anthony Choi the consultant/owner is incredible. He is friendly knowledgeable professional and it was a pleasure working with him. Received a quote for a 10" and 14" solatubes for the kitchen and hallway for about $1400. Work was completed within 2 hours of the contractor's arrival. The difference in brightness is amazing. I've received compliments from guests who even thought that the solatubes were lights. Had to make changes to the filters based on aesthetic preference, but was easy with a short drive to San Carlos to pick out the replacement options. Would do business with them again.

The company sent an installer to evaluate installing attic fans and a Solatube in our entryway. He said it could be done and we signed a contract for the installation. We then invested several thousand dollars in electrical work required to prepare the ceiling for installation. The same installer returned to do the work. This time he said the installation was impossible; refused to install the attic fans, and walked off the job. We called Solar Lighting and they refused to deal with the issue. We now have a hole in the ceiling and a hole in our pocket.
