Michael Betsch, President - Mr. Betsch co-founded GreenTech Energy Services, Inc. in 1994 with partner Paul Haviland to design, engineer and install cost-effective retrofits in commercial buildings. As Greentech's President and CEO for the past 25 years, he has established an extensive track record of achieving energy and operational cost savings for clients in both the public and private sector.
Each member of the GreenTech management team has over 25 years of experience in the energy field. Together they have implemented 5,000 projects since founding the firm in 1994. We provide turnkey services, from audit and design to installation and facilitation of rebates. We are vendor-neutral and always on the lookout for new energy-efficient technology for use in various markets and applications.
Lighting accounts for approximately 20% of all electricity use in the United States, and about 40% of energy consumption in the commercial building sector. Much of that energy is wasted, resulting in higher than necessary utility bills and carbon emissions. However, lighting retrofits can reduce energy costs by as much as 50% in some buildings, thanks to rapidly evolving technology.
