This place has a big showroom with all kinds of lights and fans. The staff is very friendly and helpful. If you don't see what you like in the showroom you can definitely find it in their catalogs and order it. The prices maybe mid to upper but they have sales that are great. So, find what you want and be patient and wait for a sale.

We needed to replace the old fluorescent ceiling light in our kitchen. Jessica listened to us, then showed us the fixture we needed and turned it on. She also sold us the matching rheostat. Excellent service and a good price.

They went above and beyond for me when purchasing a light for our foyer. The light I wanted was back ordered until the end of July so they went ahead and just sold me the display - even though they don't typically do that. They packaged it up professionally, helped me choose the proper bulbs, and even walked it out to my car. I left feeling like I had just made a few new friends.

We had built a home and went with the standard lighting package. We found light fixtures we wanted to place in our kitchen and discovered that the hole in the ceiling over the breakfast bar was too big for the 5 and a 1/2 inch base of the fixture. We needed a larger base, but one that looked exactly like the other light fixtures so that you would not be able to tell the difference. Lowe's and home depot did not have anything.

The lady at home depot recommended Northern Lighting, which was right down the road from our home. I went and explained to the man my situation and showed him a picture of the ceiling and light fixture base. I told him I needed something about 8 in diameter. He went to the back and brought out a brushed nickel 7 and a 1/2 inch base. I asked him how much it was and he gave it to me for FREE!

It worked perfectly. Even though it is larger than the bases of the other fixtures, you can't tell because it is the exact same style And a little further away. Thank you for the great customer service!

Hello, I'm working through a remodel on our home. I inadvertently ordered a pendant style light instead of a canopy style light for hanging over our kitchen sink. The electricians were running on a very tight schedule and if I didn't get the problem solved quickly, I was going to have to wait quite a while to get the installation complete. I contacted Northern Lighting by phone and spoke with Amanda who offered me a great solution to my problem.

I went to the store and she personally helped me find a canopy cover and hardware that I needed to make the installation work, at no cost! She and another person whose name I did not get, went above and beyond to make me a very happy customer today. Thanks Amanda!

Best selection in town; knowledgeable sales people; you can turn on every display to see it lit up; they can pull up your wish list, show you the item in person, add to the list, make suggestions. Our order arrived less than 10 days later. They even had the bathroom exhaust fan/light we wanted in stock.
