Ludwig Sound and Stage opened in 1975 to provide the music industry with professional audio and lighting equipment rentals, sales and service. It would be hard to find any musician or production professional that would dispute the fact that we were the first company in Connecticut to provide audio, lighting, and video equipment as an "out the door" rental business. In 1985, we changed our name to New England Sound, and the company further evolved to include event production and video equipment rentals.

I would recommend working with a different company. One of their employees came to our venue to take notes on what equipment we needed, only to draft a quote for a bunch of extra equipment we didn't ask for. This original (and incorrect) quote took 5 days longer to draft than they said it would take. When we asked for them to cut back on the extra equipment, they took an additional 5 days to respond to our email.
Now it has been another 4 days since they've confirmed they would get us a new quote, and I have still not received any calls or emails from the company. Radio silence. Our event is 1 week away and they have been extremely poor communicators. This review will probably be the first time they notice that they've been fired from our project. TLDR: Difficult to work with and extremely unresponsive to emails. They will upcharge you on your quote so pay close attention.

Not going to lie - I was with a friend dropping off some equipment and was a little put off by the attitude of the "owner" when there was a discrepancy. The renter was supposed to get a piece of equipment that was not included and when it was pointed out on the return, they weren't very accommodating. They did a little research and admitted it was their error (the person picking up the equipment did not know to check, so it was a mistake from the beginning) but just felt the owner/manager could've been less curt with his replies. Reached out and found another place that was recommended and gave my friend their information for next time.
