I have time and time again had great experiences and service with M&M. I've bought multiple fixtures and fans with various sales representatives, and universally have found lots of products in stock or received within weeks. This week Fleurette assisted with warranty work on a fan, and they facilitated a team from Bennett to come out promptly for a repair. I really recommend using M&M - don't buy online, buy from here and you won't regret it!

This store had great customer service. Jonathon was very helpful in finding light bulbs for me. I have looked everywhere and he was able to locate some for my track system. He also helped me with a future issue. Great store.

I've been shopping at M&M on and off for years. Most recently because of a kitchen remodel. I've been to just about every lighting store in Houston. I will ONLY shop at M&M! The team there is always so welcoming and helpful no matter how busy. They consistently offer a "home town" store feeling, offer great advice, service and stand behind everything.

I truly look forward to going and seeing all the smiling faces! I specifically need to thank my salesman, Red, for being the absolute BEST! His patience, knowledge and wonderful, happy ways make all the difference. And I'm so appreciative.

I recently returned to M&M Lighting to buy some more bulbs that I purchased years ago for my dining room globes. They were very busy, so they must be doing pretty well. Long story short. Robin approached me and asked me how she could help. After listening to my issue, she was quick to assist me. Robin was extremely pleasant and patient with a 300 Watt smile.

I would highly recommend asking for her if you don't have a previous relationship with another salesperson. During my time, a non-assuming gentleman came over and asked to check my bulb. It was working but it had a slight rattle. He told Robin to not charge me not once but twice since I returned after realizing the hue was slightly different than my working bulb.

It was then that I realized he was the owner, Allan. He was extremely cordial and asked what I did for a living. We shared some investment ideas, and he willingly gave me a brief informative history about the lighting business and the local real estate market in Houston. Overall, it was a great experience, even more so, while during these crazy times, so many of us show little patience to thank each other, let alone speak to each other. Thanks again.

A huge selection including many items that are in stock and available on the spot. Red was my sales assistant. He was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and helpful. Will return for more areas of my home.

Took a drive to look at the floor lamps that were shown on their website. What a waste of time. No one asked if I needed help, I walked around store a couple times. I didn't see any of the lamps I was looking for - they had plenty of the $1000-$2000 floor lamps. I don't think walk-ins are their forte!

If there was an option to give 0 stars I would. About a week ago we drove passed M&M Lighting and noticed the really nice light fixtures in the window and thought we would make plans to visit. Upon entering the store we both had on face masks and used the provided hand sanitizer at the door. It was just after 10am on a Saturday the store was not crowded.

There were several sales people behind the counter and not one so much as said hello. Absolutely no acknowledgement of us. A couple of them actually made eye contact but quickly looked away as if to avoid us at all cost. I know companies are low in revenue and owners have had to make the tough decisions to layoff employees.but dang at M&M they must have closed the customer service department.

If your in the market for nice light fixtures and/or ceiling fans do yourself a favor and go about 5 blocks West to Safari Lights, where you will not only be greeted but receive a great deal.

I'm currently remodeling my home and after checking out all of the lighting stores in Houston. I decided to purchase my lights from M&M Lighting. Im extremely happy with the level of expertise and knowledge they (Jonathan) have brought to the table! Remodeling in today's climate is not easy! Jonathan and Allan (owner) are AMAZING! I had an issue with my LED tape light and they totally backed me up! They paid for the electrician to come and troubleshoot shoot my set up! WOW! Blown away from the level of service! Totally recommend M&M for all your lighting!

I was in the store to purchase light bulbs only on a Saturday. As the saleswoman was finishing up my purchase, a man behind the counter, began berating me about masks. I had absentmindedly walked into the store without one. Not one sales person, including the one assisting me, had mentioned that I needed a mask for service. The man later identified himself as the owner, and went on to make me feel extremely uncomfortable and downright humiliated.

Instead of simply offering me a mask, and letting it go at that, humiliating me in front of everyone in the store seemed to be his goal. As an aside, I have purchased many fixtures from this store over the years, and have always had a positive experience. That will be last last experience with that store.

The first hour of our visit to MM Lighting was absolutely lovely. Red was our salesman and he was excellent. We had made our final decisions after about an hour and a half of browsing, and were waiting at a table for Red to come over and help us finish up, when an older man came over and abruptly told us he would be getting us masks for us to put on.

He didn't politely ask if we wouldn't mind wearing masks, he very rudely came over and told us we would be putting on masks. It was a really strange encounter. He repeatedly told us that "he was the owner of the store" and at one point sarcastically asked us if we "ever watched the news." Honestly masks are a subject that people are really at odds over, and I would expect a little understanding from a business owner.

He was very rude and it was completely unnecessary. I think I spoke one sentence the entire time and he basically worked himself into a bit of a fluster all on his own. After that extremely distasteful exchange, we decided it would be best to leave.thinking that we would just call Red and complete the sale later. After we left, my sister decided she would call the store and ask to speak to the man.

She was EXTREMELY calm and wasn't at all trying to be rude or disrespectful. She said hello and explained that she felt a little frustrated by their encounter at the store. He immediately started to elevate his voice and yell at her. He didn't listen to a word she said, but instead started to literally scream at her. She was still totally calm and tried to reason with him.

He then hung up. About an hour later, he actually called her back to continue to berate and SCREAM at her. At one point he screamed that he "didn't need a health lecture from a little girl." Classy, right? No one deserves to be treated so abusively. I honestly can't imagine what he would have done if this exchange had happened in the store. The guy is completely unhinged.

No one did anything wrong here except for this Allen fella. I should mention that there are signs on the door saying that masks are required, but we didn't pay much attention to them since a lot of places just haven't taken their signs down from before. We weren't trying to be rude or disrespectful. No one says ANYTHING to us about wearing a mask for the first HOUR AND A HALF of walking around, touching, browsing, etc. throughout the entire store.

It was completely out of the blue and the phone call that happened afterwards was just nuts, abusive, and frightening. If he can't control himself he shouldn't be out and about in the store and communicating with customers. We will unfortunately never be shopping here again and will warn others of our experience with Allen. "The owner of the store"

Beautiful selection! The staff is so kind and friendly. I had to have my daughter with me today and they were very patient with. I REALLY appreciate anyone with patience for children in a store. Thank you for that. We will certainly be back!

The products are beautiful, there is no doubt. But the customer service is where this company is lacking. I came to find a bar cart and after being there for two full laps and 15 min. No one approached me to see if I needed help. It was not that busy in the store at the time. I looked different from everyone else that was shopping and looking around, the same as I'm sure they are not going to miss the business that I was looking for ways to bringing them today, this is just not a good feeling as a consumer. I will never come back to this place and I be sure to not allow my contractor counterparts not to visit here either. No thank you.

M & M lighting is a great lighting store. Make sure you ask for a Adolfo hes really helpful.

I can't say enough good things about M&M Lighting! I have been doing business with them for years, and will continue to do so. They stand behind the products they sell, even when the issue might have been the installation. I bought a fixture at least 5 years ago, have had problems almost from day one. I have had multiple electricians look at the fixture, and finally found one who liked a puzzle, and wouldn't quit until he figured out the issue.

Through the process of multiple hands, a little globe got broken, and Halogen bulbs burnt out before their time. M&M made it all right again! Gave me a new globe, that is no longer available to buy, and gave me replacement bulbs! These guys are tops in my book! Thank you Jose!

I came in here with a dream.and absolutely no clue how to make my dream a reality. Enter Jonathan! He has been an absolute pleasure to work with. He has guided me thru the process of selecting lighting room by room and we are so grateful for his expertise. If you are not working with a decorator and have no idea what the hell you are doing - Johnathan is your man!

Fantastic experience. The owner Alan even called me to follow up after my ceiling fans/lights were installed. Good old school kind of customer service but with all the modern light fixtures you'd find in the most fashionable of retailers - but at a better cost.

Jose did a fantastic job helping my wife and I picking out lights for our recently remodeled home. He was very helpful with suggestions and showed us some excellent ideas in the catalogues. He is extremely professional and knowledgeable. M and M has a huge selection.

Was such a great experience working with Amy at M&M Lighting. Was in need of some new pendant lights for my house and she helped me narrow it down and pick out the best ones possible. Keep up the amazing work. Will deff be back!

This service was beyond horrific-worst customer experience of our lives. 3 weeks wasted. Bought better quality from Amazon for 1/3 the price, plus got it in 2 days. How does this place stay in business? Erin promised refund next day.it's been a week and nothing. Called Allen the Owner and he literally SCREAMED at me and called me a liar! Super abusive with my wife too, who is the most kind and reasonable person you could ever know You can't make this stuff up! Contractor who sent us there also stopped doing business with them Beware!

As an interior designer and remodeler I am always looking for great locations to source out lighting fixtures. As you can see by my work posted in the photos attached, I have bought many, many fixtures from M&M Lighting. I love this store! They have a great selection of in stock fixtures. They are great at ordering fixtures that aren't in stock. The service is always fast, friendly and on point.

I have enjoyed the pleasure of working with a sales associate called Red, on many occasions and I know that I am always going to be well taken care of when I see his smiley face. A fantastic place to send your clients or to shop for yourself!

I went to M&M Lighting prior to a total remodel of my home in the Houston Heights. What I found was an awesome lighting store, with the most lighting fixtures I've seen under one roof! Red Edwards was a gem, showing me numerous options in person and a huge assortment of catalogues. Their inventory ranges from decent/budget to high end. I was able to replace 22 high-end, coordinating light fixtures in my 3200 sq ft home without breaking the bank.

Many of the same brands they carry can be found online or through discount internet websites, but I found M&M pricing to be VERY competitive and the customer service is worth the drive across town. Thanks again Red! ~s

Seriously the best allotment of lighting fixtures I have seen in one place! Thanks to M&M we are almost done with the renovating of our duplex and should be on the market next week!

This is the type of niche store that should be a gem in the city. I went for under cabinet lighting and was helped by a nice worker until we were yelled at by the owner to, "get her out of her" by the owner as he was having a meeting in the showroom. I reluctantly purchased my items only because they were the only shop in town. All the other employees were very nice.

I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone. I was greeted as soon as I walked into the door and amazed by their wide range of fixtures. Great prices and great customer service!

M&M is the best. Its wonderful having a lighting store so close by when I need "anything". And when I order a ton of bulbs for my office, they deliver. The guys on the will call desk are especially nice and knowledgable. When it comes to finding some odd product from years ago, they know exactly where to find it. I have been a customer for in excess of thirty five years. Its a great place that always has the latest innovations in lighting. Not to mention any kind of bulb I might need.

I needed a beautiful light for my foyer. Because of the outstanding reviews I decided to give this business a try. I was not disappointed. There are so many lights to choose from. They have every style you can possible imagine. The prices range from cheap to extremely expensive. Overall, I was very impressed with the unique selection. The staff is friendly, accommodating, and they had every answer to the questions I asked. They even explained to me the upkeep of the light I purchased. I will definitely be back if I ever need a light again!

Just a disclaimer: I don't come to M&M as a regular customer but instead as an account customer, which means I don't have to deal with the salespeople on the floor. My boss is the account customer here. However, the way it works is he would get a list of all the light fixtures that he would need at the construction site and M&M will respond back with their pricing.

And all I can say is their pricing is VERY competitive compared to anywhere else you can think of. I've had the pleasure of coming here for will-call orders. The people are always quick and helpful. I've also dealt with the delivery driver when they're dropping off our orders and the drivers are always courteous. Also, if you go to the will call area, they usually have a whole bunch of ceiling fans that are being cleared out. They're discounted pretty deep.

You can find fans for $50 and up. So if you need one, try your luck and see what they have. And another note, if you're looking for something that they don't have in the showroom, more than likely they can special order it for you. Just ask.

I've been looking for bath and living room light fixtures for months without much luck. I didn't find much that I liked, and what I did like was ridiculously priced. My contractor recommended M&M Lighting so I checked it out. I was pleasantly surprised to find they had what I just wanted and the prices were very reasonable - like half of what RH and all the Richmond lighting stores were charging.

And unlike the showrooms where you have to beg to be helped, MM's people were very helpful. Red (think young Morgan Freeman from shawshank) spent an hour helping me find just what I needed. And again the prices were great. If you need lighting for your home, save yourself time and hassle and come here first.
