Purchased a designer chandelier from this company. Merchandise arrived in a reasonable time and without damage. No parts list or diagram of product. Seeing no damage, I contacted an electrician for install. Large ladders brought in and two electricians at $110 per hour. When they went to assemble the fixture it appeared a critical rod was missing.
We searched all of the packing material, no luck. Contacted the company, they asked that we send a picture of the fixture and would get back to us. Clearly missing a piece, we salvaged a piece from the old fixture but color was gold, new fixture was bronze. Down to the hardware store for spray paint. Van Teal support called and offered to overnight the piece at no-charge. Obviously, that does me no good.
Their error cost me an additional $150 in labor. When notified about it, it was essentially too bad, we were willing to overnight a part. That would've been reasonable had they included a parts inventory with the fixture. This appears to be a large company that is certainly in the position to do the right thing for the customer. They failed the test. Based on my experience, I would not recommend doing business with them.
