It all began back in 1973 when Alan Lander and Jack Suggs founded Hydro Dynamics. Alan wanted an irrigation system for his home but found the irrigation industry in St. Louis was in its infancy. So, Jack set out to Denver, Colorado to spend time with an already established irrigation company to learn and study their best practices.
At Hydro Dynamics, we know that water is a crucial element to any outdoor space. Plants need water to survive, but often rainfall alone isn't sufficient to allow plants to thrive. Lawn irrigation systems can direct an automated amount of water to necessary locations to promote a flourishing landscape.
Too much of good thing can be a bad thing - that's why Hydro Dynamics introduced its Landscape Drainage Department early in the 1980s. Improper water drainage can damage your home's structural integrity and valuable interior contents. It can even negatively impact the quality of the air you and your family breathe.
Good lighting is a critical addition to any outdoor space. Outdoor lighting can create a pleasant ambiance for your space after the sun goes down. It can also highlight the most visually stunning aspects of your home and yard. Lighting enhances the natural beauty of an outdoor space and illuminates important architectural features.

I do not trust and will not use this company again. Regular fraudulent charges on labor hours, astronomical prices, 3 or more service calls for the same issue and rude office workers. Not reliable and not reputable. Details below. They regularly overcharge labor hours on service calls. They charge an additional 30 minutes over the actual time they work.
So I guess I pay for their driving time too along with their "fuel surcharge". I call them to report the incorrect time and they will reluctantly adjust the bill, but even then to more than they were actually present at the property. They sigh or hang up on you and are very rude when you point out that they made a mistake (because it's not a mistake, it's intentional).
Most recently I was charged 1 hour and 45 minutes for 1 hour and 8 minutes of work (5 minutes of which was the tech telling me how the previous tech was wrong in what he told me). At $125 per hour, that becomes frustrating. They will come up with every excuse to charge you more. The schedulers don't know what they are doing. I asked for a tech for at least 6 hours of work to be done.
The tech arrived at 4pm and told me he won't have time, he can only do part of it. I need to reschedule. So weeks later another person comes, who says the previous guy was wrong and he won't have time either and I have to call again to reschedule. Another 2+ week delay. Not once did they apologize for overcharging me or for turning one visit into three visits. You are just expected to take off as many days as they need and they will show up whenever. Could not recommend them less.

Worst service! They only allowed 30 minutes for a service call. If your issues is not resolved, they will leave, and you will have to reschedule for them to come back out. Sometimes they charge for the second trip out, sometimes not. They called to set up service to turn the system on but did not call to schedule a time to turn it off. When I finally called last fall, it was a two-week wait.
There was a "hard freeze" during that time, and the backflow device froze. We were told that we are responsible for the cost of replacing the backflow device. Avoid Hydrodynamics at all costs.

I applaud a business that is trying to grow. I know Hydro Dynamics to be an excellent lawn irrigation company. They are very professional in that area and I recommend them highly for irrigation services. I received an email about lawn aeration and seeding so I contacted them to do that for us. I cannot recommend them for that part of their business.
They used a marginal amount of seed, in other words not nearly enough, they tore up a small portion of our lawn and they we here and gone in no time and charged us like they were here for hours. I will revert back to other businesses that know how to properly prepare your lawn for fall. But they're still our sprinkler guys!

Be aware of these thieves. They will rip you off. I contacted them for checking and repair of my sprinkler system. After cancelling the initial appointment, First guy came and told me that almost all the heads are bad and needs to be replaced. I told him that almost all of them are brand new and asked him what is wrong with them? He had no good answer.
He did some small repair and gave me a verbal bill of approximately $1200 just for the worked he did on that day and warned me that it may exceed more that 1500-2000. He refused to finish the work. Few days later another guy came and told me that there is nothing wrong with the heads and first guy did not know what he was talking about. He did some quick adjustment of the heads and did not finish the work.
First guy came back again on the next day and wanted to change all the heads and I told him the second guy warned me that there is nothing wrong with the heads except one and should not be changed. So he left angrily. Second guy came back again and did some work and again and did not finish the work. We found some leak at the relay station and he refused to finish fixing it.
And mentioned that it will need another visit. So far I got 1200.89 bill which I already paid and my system is still leaking and all heads are not properly adjusted and there are many dry spots on the lawn. I called them first in April and now it is July and they did not finish the work. The tactic this company plays is that they will not finish the work in one visit.

Around the first of March I scheduled an appointment for March 27th. While I received an email confirmation immediately after the initial phone call, as it got closer to March 27th, there was no second confirmation. I called just to double check, left a message - no response. March 27th arrived, and the technician was on time and very professional.
He looked over the property and said he would write up a few bids and have it emailed to me the following Friday, April 2nd. I have yet to hear from Hydro Dynamics. I will be going with another company.
