Services
Televised productions are in numerous industries: news broadcasts, religious services, educational facilities, governmental agencies, and online video productions, to name a few. As diverse as all these different types of production are, lighting plays a critical role in all by providing appropriate ambiance, and enhancing the desired mood.
Customers can pick up equipment the day before use, keep for the day of use and return the following day after use. 2-day rates are available if customer is needing an additional day of use. Weekly rates are billed a 3-day rate for a one week period Pickup can be made the day before use and returned the following business day at the end of the rental period.
Olden Lighting provides a full line of state of the art lighting equipment and services for events and theatrical performances including musicals, plays, ballets, and performance art. We maintain a large inventory of lighting and rigging equipment that has been used for countless venues throughout Texas.

Walter Olden and his team have been providing great lighting options for decades. Their new space is bigger and now provides more retail options than ever. They also have an extensive rental inventory. Olden also provides installation and design services. They are my goto for all my referrals and design solutions. If you need the highest quality lighting, call them first.

Every piece of professional stage lighting equipment imaginable. More importantly, a friendly and knowledgeable staff. Located minutes from Downtown Austin, East of the Disch-Falk Baseball Field. We called first and the staff verified that they had in stock the obscure, ancient spotlight bulb we needed for an imminent Scottish Rite Children's Theatre production. Olden Knows Lights!

These guys are clearly the best at what they do. Mr. Olden is a legend around these parts and for good reason. He has been lighting for over 40 years and his experience and talents have landed him Austin City Limits for the last ten years. The service was spot on. I didn't need much but that didn't matter. They treated me with the utmost respect. They have everything ranging from grip trucks, Arri lighting, theatrical lighting and basically everything in between those worlds. Legit rental house.

I came in looking for a small assorted pack of lighting gels, with the intention of using them on a flashlight for light painting photography. I walked in a few minutes to close, and nobody really was phased by that. The lady at the front desk pleasantly asked what she could help with, and I told her what I was looking for and why. They're problem solvers here, and even though they didn't really have any small assorted packs of gels, they had some gels in the form of sales sample material that they just let me have with my purchase of some gaffer tape. They did so happily. I also overheard them talking about feeding the stray cat behind the building, so they clearly have hearts of gold. I'm glad I came here.

Olden Lighting saved my tail about three weeks ago! I was in a panic needing some lighting for a runway fashion show benefit I was co-chairing. Walter took the time to ask several key questions and then set me up with ideal lighting that was incredibly affordable. His employees walked me through exactly what I needed to do to set them up and they genuinely cared about making sure I knew what I was doing.
I was a very small potatoes rental. But, they never made me feel that way. Walter checked in with me to make sure it all worked. And, I am so appreciative. I can't say enough great things about Olden Lighting. Give them a shot for sure.

The folks at Olden Lighting are wonderful! They found my cat today! He had been missing for three weeks. They found him with his collar around his neck and head. They helped him out of it and fed him and took care of them until I could get over there to get him. Thank you so much! I have made a donation to the Austin Humane Society in their name since they wouldn't accept a reward.
