Some of our models feature "stained glass panels" (pieces of different colored glass soldered together like tiffany lamp shades or church windows). You may choose the two glass combination for these panels. The "primary" or "dominant" glass which usually has more pieces per panel and the "secondary" or "accent glass" with fewer pieces per panel.
You may order directly from our web site and make a secure online payment with major credit cards through PayPal (an eBay company) our online credit card processor. If you prefer to pay by check or money order please include all necessary information with you mail in payment. Please note that orders paid by personal checks will be processed as soon as the check clears the bank. If you have "pop-up" window blocking software enabled you may have to disable it in order to access the "PayPal shopping cart page".
All your information is kept strictly confidential and will never be sold to or shared with any other company. For security reasons, please do not download any unsolicited email file attachments claiming to be from Southern California lighting or PayPal. Recently, PayPal members have reported suspicious-looking emails and fake websites.
Most of our light fixtures are sent UPS ground freight to our customers located in the lower 48 states. Please contact us for shipping rates outside the lower 48 states and for freight options other than UPS ground. Most of our orders ship out from our factory within 7-10 business days via UPS ground.

Let's be clear. John, the owner, doesn't need your business. You're here because you need him. You're also here because you need more 411 to consider ordering from his super basic website. I know because I did the exact same thing, but with few reviews to go on, I was still not sure. So I picked up the phone and called "customer support." I was so surprised when John, the owner, answered. When's the last time you called a business and the owner answered the phone?
You might even reply - never. I called because the lantern I was considering didn't come in the size I wanted, but what was even more valuable was that that particular lantern had more bells and whistles than I even knew it had or that I even wanted! So by calling in, John provided me with info I wouldn't have gotten from the picture on the website as well as a better solution than I could have anticipated - make them from scratch the way I wanted it and in the sizes I wanted them in!
His website is the bare minimum of basic, but in no way shape or form does it speak to the quality of John's work, and especially his commitment to good customer service. John talked my ear off - he sources materials that are made in the USA.all the lights are crafted by hand in his warehouse.he ships to places all over the world.he prides himself on customer service.he's practically retired but he's got employees to consider.
My inquiry phone call turned into a 30-minute listening session, but I loved every minute of it. I hung up and placed my order on the website with confidence. My custom order arrived by UPS in three, yes, THREE days! So the lesson from this review is - pick up the phone. I got to know the man behind the company and I put in a custom order with more specific details than what's offered on the website's drop-down options.

We have worked with John twice. The first time he produced beautiful craftsman fixtures for our kitchen with mica shades. The second time, he created the three post lamps for us. Our posts were quite old and were wider than the 3 inch industry standard. No one else could help us, but John, as a metal worker, manufactured what we needed himself at no extra charge.
What you are getting from Southern California Lighting is truly handcrafted metal fixtures in the craftsman tradition. He was also incredibly fast and priced fairly. We received an email describing our order before he shipped.

Just completed remodeling project of our front yard. We had pillars constructed to the front entrance to the house and had pillar column lights installed complements of Southern California Lighting located in Hawaiian Gardens the glass is honey color and the metal finish is bronze. Mr John Gallegos the owner provided us with an in depth view of his products.
Both my wife and I are very happy with the lights and our neighbors continue giving us complements on the same. We are providing pics with the end result if our remodel, and welcome comments be they positive or negative?

I had the most stellar experience with this company. My fixtures are gorgeous and exactly what I was looking for. SCAL did some minor customization for me--without an upcharge! They were delivered quickly and well packaged to protect the glass. I had planned to order additional fixtures at a later time, so they prepped the finish ahead of time since they are hand finished to ensure my fixtures would match as much as possible.
