I purchased a light fixture for my dining room. I had an issue with the shade that wasn't apparent until after it was installed. Since it was a fairly minor issue on a fairly large fixture, I didn't want to have to take it down and return it, so I reached out to customer service instead. Their CS/sales rep Kristine responded quickly and was very helpful. Recommend 100%.

I have enjoyed their DC motor fans over the years. The email customer service leaves a lot to be desired, however. If you need anything, like 2 screws missing from a fan that was drop shipped, the answer is, "talk to the place that sold you the fan, " rather than, "we are sorry to hear that; we will send those right out to you." Not an after the sale customer service focused company. Definitely more B2B. In looking through the other reviews it seems that my experience is quite common.

Had a problem operating one of the 8 minka aire fans I own. They are a great and classy looking product. Have never had one probleim in the 9years I have owned these since I built the house. The tech support person was Ben and he spent the time with me to troubleshoot the issue and it was resolved Hats off to Ben and the trainer who helped him with the fabulous people skills that he possesses!

I ordered my first ceiling fan from them. It took some time to arrive and noticed plastic pieces in the light module only after it was installed. We called them up asking for a replacement only to be redirected to our local dealer who submitted the request after I sent the required photographic evidence. I was then so bold as to order a matching fan for the other bedroom thinking they were going to make good.
It arrived without a downrod. We called and went through the same hoops to have a replacement "expedited". Almost a week later we were sent the wrong part. Now I have one fan partially assembled, ordered almost a month and a half ago, waiting to be installed and another fan with defective light module. Awful customer service.

Save your money and get fan from a different company. I bought this expensive Minka-Aire Airus F598-BN fan thinking I was buying quality product from a reputable company. After this experience I would never equate expensive with quality. I have had it for just a couple of years and not used much as the room where it is installed is not a bedroom. One day I was working on my computer in the room and I suddenly heard a loud noise from the fan.
I immediately switched it off. I thought that maybe some blade screws had gotten loose but was shocked to see that the blade bracket "inside the housing" where the blade support plate gets attached, was completely broken. Difficult to comprehend how something like this could even happen. I contacted Minka tech support and send them the pictures. They were surprised at the broken part and passed the issue over to management.
You would think that this company would respond quickly and be worried about this structural problem could have easily turned into an injury and property damage. But no. It has been more than a week and still no response from the management.

Purchased an Aviation fan that came with 2 down rods 6.5" and 3.5". I needed the 6.5 so OK. Purchased 2 more fans and neither can with a 3.5 down rod which I needed. Called Minka thinking is was a simple mistake and found out they no longer ship with the 3.5" and that "I should have done more research to learn when they discontinued shipping the 3.5" - Really? I asked if they could ship me the part ASAP and was told I could buy one from a distributor. This is a great looking fan but will not buy their brand again in the future.

Not recommended. Bought two identical ceiling fans unfortunately one was noisy. Called customer service and they blamed the wall switch. Finally agreed to send part that "may" fix the problem but stated the part was on back-order. Said they would send when it came in. Called a month later and now they said "sorry can't help you" try returning it to the lighting store where you bought it. Would not recommend doing business with a company that does not stand behind their product or offer customer satisfaction.

I bought an expensive Minka Lavery chandelier secondhand, and the day after I brought it home, my rambunctious infant daughter dropped one of the glass shades and broke it. I contacted ML customer service to see if I could purchase a replacement, and they sent me one for free! I was astonished. I will definitely be seeking out Minka Lavery for my lighting needs in the future!

Minka replaced our ceiling fan purchased at Home Depot which had a lifetime warranty. Initially they said they would repair our fan motor in about three weeks. After five weeks I called them and they said our fan was next in line for repair. Two weeks later they called us, saying our original fan (which we sent to them via FedEx) was damaged in shipment, and they agreed to replace the whole thing.
After almost two months of waiting we received the replacement and installed it at our cost. The new fan (made in China) has a constant humming sound. All HD could do is replace it (two months), replace the same motor, or give us a $110 gift card. A comparable fan costs about $200. We took the gift card. Beware of both companies when thinking of buying a ceiling fan. All HD ceiling fans are made in China: inferior insulation.
