This rating is solely because of Andy, if you can get him as your lighting specialist you are covered! Such a passionate specialist with great visions and ideas. Being a first time home buyer he understood exactly what our needs were and provided the best suggestions. He is patience, kind and listens to all your needs. Original experience when building was fine. Now trying to reach sales rep but getting absolutely no response. First left message over 2 weeks ago, then emailed. Still no response. Spoke with assistant manager who PROMISED we would be first return call the next working day. No call. When we called her a second time she assured us she would pass message to sales rep. Still no response over 2 weeks later.

If you have a gift certificate to use, expect to be treated poorly. If you are spending thousands, maybe they treat you differently. A salesperson named Morgan was rude to us, was texting on his phone, barely would ring up my order, and then made us stand at the counter waiting for him to hand us the boxed light fixture while he decided to help someone else.
I would not shop here again based on their sales professionals. However, I will say an older gentleman, perhaps a manager or owner, came out and asked why we were standing there. We pointed to the box that Morgan was hanging on to and he grabbed it for us quickly. He seemed frustrated at that employee as well. I certainly wouldn't return if Morgan was the salesperson I had to work with. I used a gift card, its not like I walked in there with a discount coupon book.

I have gone to several other lighting stores in the area and I continue to be amazed at the outstanding customer service at Wilson. From the moment you walk in the door they make you feel welcomed and not rushed. They have a wide range of styles and price ranges. I like the expansion of their furniture, art work, and accessories. Highly recommend!

Lighting solutions for every room in your home. Easy to find near 105th and Metcalf with plenty of parking. My wife and I have been shopping here for our lights for years and have never been disappointed. Lots of great items that you just can't find anywhere else. The displays are unique and really draw you in. The staff is always knowledgeable, friendly and helpful with out being pushy.

No follow up and unresponsive-- if you decide to shop at Wilson on Brentwood, don't pay for your purchase before picking up your merchandise. I paid in full, had them hold my purchased ordermultiple fixtures for a renovation. I thought this would help while waiting on a fixture "to come in within 2 weeks." I followed up after 2wks, then 3week, then 4-6 weeks and was told each time I called someone would call me to follow up "one way or the other" re:status of the order -- no-one followed up -- I had to call to follow checking to see if my purchase was in and I could get all of my merchandise. finally I canceled the fixture we were awaiting and decided to come in and just pick up my purchase for installation as the electrician was ready! Edwin provided poor customer service after the sale was made --- maybe others are more attentive but our guy wasn't responsive or helpful, after my fixtures were paid in full!
When I went to pick up my purchase, I learned they had sold a fixture I bought which allegedly was in stock when I bought and they were holding for me. I paid for it but yet they said it was sold when I arrived to retrieve my purchase. So they said they had a perfect one on the display floor I could have -- so they went and took down and gave me the one that was on the display floor.
I was assuming it would be ok, being offered zero discount for the display fixture. However when I got it home, and when our electrician got it out of the box to install it turned out it didn't come with a mounting bracket and so our electrician bought necessary missing parts to mount -- then he hung it only to then find several crystals on the chandelier were missing.
After hanging it and being very dissatisfied with getting a used chandelier for full price with missing parts I called our salesman Edwin and he said we could exchange it. When I brought in to exchange weeks later, after making an appointment, was told I couldn't exchange due to missing parts. So they sold me a fixture from their display floor, because they sold the one I bought and then it came with missing mounting brackets we had to go purchase yet they then refused to allow me to exchange it.

John was awesome to work with! We made it clear that we wanted to stay close to the $2,500 allowance from our builder. John never pushed us to go over what we wanted. I was blown away by John's professional attitude, attention to detail, and impeccable taste. He knew our floor plan and helped us pick lights that filled the space nicely. The cost while building can easily get away from you.
We picked some inexpensive lights that we plan on replacing for over our kitchen island, master bedroom, and bathrooms. John had some recommendations to help us save in certain areas and splurge in other areas with higher ceilings that would make the fixtures hard to change in the future. We did end up spending over $1,000 more than our allowance because John had good suggestions. John showed us things in our price range before he showed us more expensive options. I've already recommended John to two people today. I've spent my entire career in sales. John delivered top notch service today.

I have driven by this store for the last year or so and after trying to find replacement lamp shades at 2 different lighting stores I stopped by and was greeted by a very professional Piper who proceeded to measure my old lampshade and say she would order exactly the same from an American company. I wandered upstairs to the enormous variety of selected furniture and accessories, This is much more than a lighting store.
I ended up purchasing a new lamp (that I didn't need ) and ordered a different lampshade for it! All 3 shades arrived and everything looks and fits perfectly as promised! Took another 3 lamps in and worked this time with Bob who is very knowledgeable and personable and he found 2 perfect lampshades for the old lamps. I had another living room lamp that I was not happy with the lampshade and Bob added a slightly taller harp, tried many other shades but in the end stayed with the original as it looked totally different with a taller harp! This is a fun place to shop and the feeling of accomplishment when done is immeasurable! Keith W.

I stopped in for a light above our kitchen island and entered a wonderland of lighting options and furniture and art and household decor--three floors of beautiful, high quality pieces. Our floor salesman, Edwin, was knowledgeable and although we didn't find the exact light for the kitchen, we scored this awesome modern ceiling fan for a great price!
We were directed to an even larger inventory online, where we think we've found the perfect pendant light--so we shall return! Thanks for the friendly service, felt good to support a local business and to find the variety and value, great experience!

Wilson has an wide and excellent selection of not only lamps and lighting fixtures, but furniture and accessories as well. Their merchandise is the highest quality and their prices are very fair and competitive. The customer service is absolutely outstanding, courteous, and professional at every level. They go out of their way to make the customer happy.

We brought in a ceiling fixture that had a short in it because it had been improperly wired at the factory - we had purchased it elsewhere and they had gone out of business. Two lamp stores and an independent repair guy said it wasn't fixable but Chris at Wilson lighting was able to rewire it and make it work. The cost was very reasonable. Wonderful service. Everyone was helpful and pleasant.

I'm traditionally a Home Depot or Lowe's guy when it comes to home supplies, but wanted to find a couple of unique electrical items to accentuate the look of my home. I was truly amazed with the quality and competitive pricing Wilson Lighting offered me. I purchased a front porch light and a high tech/top quality outdoor fan and received unmatched customer service (Bob - Store manager was wonderful to work with, as was his assistants).
The old adage, "you get what you pay for." is in full effect at Wilson's. Top quality, service and competitive prices cemented my relationship with this premier store. Plan to be back in the next month to explore kitchen lighting options. Also, shared my experience with neighbors and friends- check it out!

PLEASE TAKE YOUR DOLLARS ELSEWHERE! This is my first ever YELP review. However, this is a MUST and MUST be told. I experienced the WORST time of my entire 60 years of life at Wilson Lighting, the store I've ALWAYS wanted to check out! DO NOT GIVE THIS STORE YOUR BUSINESS! If they actually read their customer reviews, they should clearly remember this situation last week in the afternoon.
Unless of course, this IS their normal behavior of customer service. I enter the store. there were 3 ladies at the front desk. only ONE of the ladies actually looked up at me, did NOT address me in any way.did not say hello, we're busy, can you give us a minute. NOTHING. she continued on with her task of whatever she was doing. I stood there patiently waiting.however when NONE of the Ladies said anything at all, or even looked up, I had to ASK if there was a salesperson available.
I was told someone would help. I asked about wall sconces to which she replied, yes they are on the 2nd floor. so upstairs I go. I walked around at least another 10 minutes.still no salesperson. by now, I'm feeling like.what is THIS all about? so I speak to a gentleman who obviously works there, asking /telling him of my issue with getting assistance BUT, really, at this point (as my blood begins to boil) i said to him how interesting it was to me that I've been in this store NOW for 15 minutes, STILL not approached by a salesperson. as I was saying this to him a saleslady passes by and clearly hears my complaint. the next thing on the loudspeaker I hear, customer needs assistance on the 2nd floor.
I walked around a little more, really internally BOILING now, waited a few more minutes, STILL no assistance. but I DO see ALL the other customers in the store being helped. Even those that entered the store AFTER me. ** I'm very observant. ** so, a different saleslady passes by and I ask/ say to her that I've been in the store over 20 plus minutes and no one has asked if I need help. OH, I DID say to her, my money is green too!
She said, oh, I'm sorry no one has helped you, I'll get the manager. My reply was, I'm sorry too. now, here comes Manager Bob, who did his best to try and smooth it all over.,a pologized somewhat for lack of attention, (yeah right) answered a few questions. pulled out the catalog, even asked if I wanted WATER.what? to cool me down Bob? cause you KNOW you ALL are wrong in your treatment of customers of color? NEVAH, EVAH, in all my LIFE have I experienced such OUTRIGHT RACISM, dismissal, by their ACTIONS or lack thereof. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, IF YOU ARE AFRICAN AMERICAN or ANYONE OF COLOR, PLEASE DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS!
I did NOT give them a piece of my mind or berate them for their racist behavior, then i would have been an ANGRY BLACK WOMAN, I would NOT give them any satisfaction that their treatment of me, was acceptable. They are not worth it. They DID CONFIRM that RACISM IS STILL, I SAY, STILL ALIVE AND WELL! If you at WIlson Lighting dispute this review, you will be lying to yourselves. please trust me! My wife and I were in Wilson Lighting over seven months ago with the intention of upgrading the lighting in our home. Candy spent a great deal of time with us and helped us pick out the perfect pieces that my wife and I both agreed on. Well, life gets busy and we never made it in to purchase the lighting and do the upgrades. Now, my wife and I have decided to do a complete lifestyle change and move into an RV full time.
The house is on the market and it really is time to do those updates. We returned to Wilson's Lighting and asked for Candy again. She remembered us, our taste in lighting, and gave us great input as to other options since we are selling. When one of the fixtures wasn't available, she even got permission for us to purchase the display, as time is quite short for us to get this all accomplished for the sell. She and the other staff were so helpful. I would highly recommend them to everyone looking to purchase great lighting for their homes.

My husband was the one who found this place after he broke my favorite lamp (he tried to move a table without taking objects off it). We took the lamp in to see if it could be fixed but alas, it was not to be. They were however able to provide a catalog for us to go through and lo and behold, we found the same lamp that they could order for us. In the meantime, I found a vase and a wall sculpture to take home.
If you need any type of lighting such as lamps, chandeliers or outdoor lighting, this is the place to go. If you are looking to hang something on your wall such as a mirror or framed print, this is the place for you. They also have some furniture. If you need any type of nick knack, this is the place for you. And to top it all off, I didn't even get to the second floor! It is a little pricey, but they also try to work with you. Would I come back again? As soon as my husband goes out of town, I'll be looking on that second floor.
