So glad I chose to shop locally! What a great experience. They had so much knowledge and were so easy to work with! Jason helped me and I was able to pick out the chandelier I chose for my mother's dining room from their showroom and found one for her breakfast nook as well. What a fantastic show room best in the area! I will definitely be back!

I was very disappointed and a little perturbed by the attitude of the sales woman there. I'd been in earlier and looked around for what I wanted and didn't see anything right off the bat. Also, both salesmen were pretty busy and couldn't really help me so I went home and did some more looking on the internet. I found what I wanted and could have ordered it right there and then online. Instead, I took the information for the fan back to Light Source to order it through them, thinking I could get better customer service.
Instead I got a woman who told me there was no such fan unless it was 'wet', that she had been selling Minka Aire fans for 12 years and knew they didn't carry such a fan. I told her I wanted a 3 blade celing fan in ORB with a white glass light shade and she basically said in so many words that I was too picky. Long story short I went home and ordered the fan she said didn't exist off the internet and it will be here Friday. And it is not 'wet'. You try to give business to local companies and they just make it so darn hard.

After buying my house and substantially changing the prior color scheme, I hoped to save some money by updating the amber glass shades on the existing, but discontinued, light fixtures. Jason at Light Source was able to locate compatible shades in exactly the color and finish I wanted, saving me from having to purchase an entire new fixture. Browsing the whole store, I was impressed by the inventory on display, which includes lighting, window treatments, and some exceptional decorative pieces.
Though my purchase was a relatively small one, I was given personal, congenial attention. I am grateful that I was able to find a local source as the fit was precise, rather than taking a shot in the dark with an on-line purchase, which was also priced much higher than Light Source charged me. Local store + highly personal service = a retail winner.
