SPI Lighting is a leading designer and manufacturer of American made architectural and performance luminaires. In 1987, Lee A. Doerr, Jr. purchased SPI Lighting from Cooper Industries with the vision of building upon the company's reputation as a pioneer of high-efficiency indirect lighting. The company grew rapidly in the following years, significantly expanding its manufacturing facilities, office personnel, and product line - most prominently with the acquisition of the architectural lighting company, Advent Lighting, in 1999.
Our Custom Division specializes in tailoring luminaires to fit your design. Unlike other manufacturers, we spend more time in the workshop exploring prototypes then at our desks. We not only understand how to manipulate parts on computer screens, but we also roll up our sleeves and actually build what we model.
