Extremely disappointed by this company. You would think with a name like the exit light co they would have stock of exit signs. You would be wrong. there resolution was less than acceptable. Multiple delays equals a very upset customer. This is unacceptable and I would highly advise seeking your exit sign supplies elsewhere.

I work for a large Fire Life Safety Company here in San Diego, I am one of the Client Service Managers and I've been doing business with The Exit Light Co and must say they are on top of their game. They provide me services all over my San Diego sites as well as North County and Inland Empire sites. Service is prompt, detailed and professional.
The service department has always provided me with updates on new Codes that roll out and after completion of an inspections, I would receive the reports needed In a timely manor. They are great on completing repairs as well as providing knowledge on parts. Keep up the great work guys and I will continue to be your #1 customer;

This company does more than just exit sign and emergency lights. My back then boyfriend (husband now) purchased a custom exit sign with the words WILL YOU MARRY ME? The sign lights up just like an exit sign does. The idea was amazing and the sign looks amazing! Dam. They "screwed" me good. I ordered some exit light bulbs and they were packaged so poorly that I am surprised that only 1 broke in shipping. The bulbs were not correct anyway but I was told that it was my responsibility to send them back at my expense. Plus, I'd have to package them better than they did or they would break resulting in a claim that I'd have to make. THEN a refund less original shipping and 20 percent restocking fee. Crooks Peace out!

Do NOT purchase anything from this company. I purchased an emergency table lamp light from Exit Light Co. on April 6 and it arrived approximately 10 days later. The light was purchased for my elderly father who died a few days after the lamp arrived. When I called to return the lamp on April 28 I was told that it was a "custom" order item and that it could not be returned.
The item, by the way, is in its original box and has never been opened. Nothing on the catalog nor the invoice nor the packing slip states that this was a custom item and non-returnable. Today, when I called again, both the customer service rep and the office manager who identified herself as Christina referred me to their Terms of Service. If you read the terms of service there is a general statement about custom and special items being non-returnable. However, as I stated above, there is and was no note to me, the customer, that this was a custom-made item. Christina said that now, two months later, there is nothing she can do.
I mentioned that I have been dealing with my father's estate for the past month and she didn't even bat an eye. Not even the de rigeur "I'm sorry to hear of your loss" which even the Social Security Administration manages well. She said the company may have been able to do something in the first 30 days. When I pointed out that I had called within 30 days she said that it was not relevant now.
I then mentioned that no one offered to help me when I first called. (Oops! Caught by her own words). I asked what she could have and should have done for me when I first called. But she stonewalled me. I repeat. Do NOT purchase anything from this company. The return policy seems to be, "whatever we want to accept as returns."
